A little about ourselves
The Food web bellow describes how the food web works and the circle of life in the Great Swamp work.
What is a producer and a consumer?
Producers- Are organisms that take energy from the sun or other sources of energy like chemical vents.
Herbivores- Are organisms that eat producers such as plants as a source of energy.
Consumers- Are organisms that eat herbivores and other consumers for their source of energy. Tertiary consumers in this food web are at the top of the food chain while herbivores are at the bottom of the food chain for consumers.
Omnivore- Are organisms that eat both producers and consumers as a source of energy, such as humans.
Decomposes- Are organisms that eat dead organic matter from another organisms who had died.
