Ways we protect our ecosystem
The Great Swamp is under the protection of the United States. The Wild life reserve maintains the reserve to protect the swamp and is inhabitants. It manages networks of land and water ways specifically for the protection of the species and habits and put out watches for endanger species . The National Wildlife Reserve is the largest wildlife management program in the world.
Negative Impacts
However the efforts made into protecting the Great Swamp, their are also potential dangers to the wetlands. Some examples include draining, pollution, runoffs, introduction to new community's, waste, deforestation and so much more.
How you can help
You can volunteer or join The National Wildlife reserve to protect and support the species and the habitats of the Great Swamp.
